Manor Avenue

I've been looking forward to sharing these photographs ever since I took them. David Eland, a good friend from university has just finished this magnificent job, renovating a 5 storey town house in south London. The largest element of the design was to lower the basement by 1m to create a cavernous lower ground floor that houses kitchen and dining.

I think this is possibly the first house that I've photographed with an original Damien Hirst in it. The Hirst piece hangs above an exquisite steel and oak staircase fabricated by R E Cooke. It turns out that their main business is making specialist buckets for diggers, but they make a pretty awesome staircase.

I photographed this crisp extension in the autumn of 2016 for the architects Thomas & Spiers. I just stumbled back across the photographs and really quite like them.

North London Residence

During July I photographed this delightfully simple home by deDraft Architects. Sat in a quite residential street in Crouch End I really enjoyed the sense of warmth while still keeping things crisp and clean. You can find out more on the architects website.

Architectural Rendering meets Photography Shoot

Here are 3 brand new images of the Tokyo penthouse that I was working on earlier in the summer. You can see the complete set of images on my website here.

At the start of September I spent some time in Cloud & Horse’s studios shooting with actress Jennifer Dawn-Williams. The shoot had been meticulously planned to allow the resulting photographs of Jennifer to be blended seamlessly with computer generated images of the apartment.

I will try to post soon a short animation of the post production layering of the images.

We Built This House

Two years ago today I visited a building site in South London where architects Jessica and Robert were creating their new home. You can see more of the finished house on the architect’s website.
